As an online company committed to protecting our customers’ privacy, The Artists Club rigorously follows the PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards for compliance. The requirements put in place by PCI are continually updated for your safety. PCI recently enacted a new rule requiring online retailers to update their systems to no longer allow TLS (Transport Layer Security) version 1.0. This change primarily affects users whose computers are running on the following operating systems:
· Windows XP and older
· Mac Snow leopard and older
If you have an outdated operating system that is no longer supported by the manufacturer, you have the ability to download either Firefox or Chrome as an alternative to Internet Explorer or Safari. Both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers are automatically updated regularly, and use the latest Transport Layer Security; version 1.2.
PCI has alerted all online retailers that there is a vulnerability within the TLS 1.0 version and have made the recommendation that access via that technology be disabled. This recommendation was made in May, 2015 and The Artists Club immediately updated our systems accordingly. As such, if your operating system or browser is out of date, you will not be able to access secure sections on our website, including, but not limited to your cart. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused you, and assure you that by making these changes, your shopping experience with The Artists Club is as secure as possible.
While some retailers have made the decision to continue to allow TLS 1.0, despite the vulnerability, as of December 2015, all online retailers will be required to disable TLS 1.0.
Current Version of browsers that work with TLS 1.2 are the following:
· Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1)
· Firefox (Latest Release)
· Chrome (Latest Release)
· Safari 8.0.7, (OS X v10.10 "Yosemite")
As stated above, if you have an outdated Operating System that is no longer supported by the manufacturer, you can still access secure sections on our site by downloading either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Below are the links for you to get them.
