The Artist's Club is America's largest direct to the consumer merchant of
decorative painting supplies. The company is a division of the Crafts Americana
Group, Inc. and traces its origins back to 1975 when Donna Santos, an
enthusiastic decorative painter, started providing her friends with supplies as
a wholesale distributor. In 1990 Bob and Kelley Petkun purchased the business
from Donna and changed the corporate focus to consumer catalog marketing. In
1990 the company mailed 5,000 black and white catalogs; in 1991 it mailed
75,000 black and white catalogs it now routinely mails up to 1,000,000 full
color catalogs per mailing. The company also owns the Connecting Threads mail
order catalog which sells quilting supplies and has its own Web site,
ConnectingThreads.com. As one of the leading direct-mail catalogers in
the crafts industry, Crafts Americana Group prints many millions of catalogs
sent to decorative painters and quilters all over the world. We pride ourselves
on presenting the newest products in an informative and colorful way, and we
are committed to providing first class service to our 450,000 loyal customers
world wide.
